BHS Workforce is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Lexington, Kentucky. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 18 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Requirements: Active RN license in state of practice (or compact license as applicable) BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy BLS and ACLS certification required RCIS certification preferred 1 years of cath lab experience required Ability to respond to emergent/on-call cases (cath lab roles often require call coverage) Duties: Provide nursing care and monitoring for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures (diagnostic angiograms, PCI/stent placements, device implants) Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic status throughout procedures, alerting the team to changes Administer medications, sedation, and contrast media per physician orders and protocol Assist physicians during procedures, including circulating and monitoring roles Prepare and educate patients pre-procedure; provide recovery care and discharge instructions post-procedure Manage vascular access sites, including sheath removal and hemostasis per protocol Respond to emergent complications (arrhythmias, hemorrhage, vasovagal reactions) with appropriate interventions Collaborate with cardiologists, cath lab techs, and interdisciplinary team on plan of care Accurately document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient response in the EMR BHS Workforce Job ID 37830480.
