\n The Dietary Aide is responsible for supporting the culinary team by assisting with meal service, ensuring a clean and organized dining environment, and upholding high standards of food safety and sanitation. This role plays a vital part in enhancing the dining experience for residents in a Senior Living community, requiring professionalism, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to serving older adults.

\n Job Responsibilities\n

\n

\n

Meal Service & Presentation 
\n     ? Assist in meal preparation and ensure food is plated attractively and appropriately for residents. 
\n     ? Serve meals in a friendly and respectful manner, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are met. 
\n     ? Monitor food temperatures to comply with health and safety regulations. 
\n     ? Assist residents with meal trays, beverages, and dining needs as necessary. 
\n     ? Prepare carts for meal delivery to residents and ensure accuracy. 
\n     ? Assist with meal tickets, gather necessary information, and place tickets on trays for proper identification. 
\n Sanitation & Compliance 
\n     ? Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, serving areas, and dining room. 
\n     ? Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations to comply with local, state, and federal guidelines. 
\n     ? Properly store and label food to maintain safety and freshness. 
\n     ? Participate in deep cleaning of kitchen equipment, refrigerators, freezers, and food prep areas. 
\n Resident Engagement & Support 
\n     ? Provide courteous and respectful service, fostering a warm and positive dining experience. 
\n     ? Assist residents who require special accommodations while ensuring dignity and comfort. 
\n     ? Communicate resident dietary concerns or food preferences to the culinary and healthcare teams. 
\n Operational Support 
\n     ? Set up and break down dining areas before and after meal service. 
\n     ? Assist with dishwashing and maintaining a steady workflow in the kitchen. 
\n     ? Monitor and restock supplies as needed, including utensils, condiments, and beverages. 
\n     ? Follow all uniform and PPE guidelines for a clean, professional, and safe work environment. 
\n Other Duties as Assigned 
\n     ? Support the mission of Aramark SeniorLIFE+ by ensuring a high-quality dining experience that enhances resident well-being. 
\n     ? Work collaboratively with the culinary team to maintain efficiency and meal accuracy. 
\n Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills in senior living food service.

\n Qualifications\n

\n

\n

Experience & Skills 
\n     ? Minimum of one year of service experience in healthcare, senior living, or hospitality preferred. 
\n     ? Basic understanding of food preparation techniques, portion control, and food safety guidelines. 
\n     ? Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions. 
\n     ? Strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. 
\n Certifications & Compliance 
\n     ? Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations. 
\n     ? State-specific Food Handler Permit required (or willing to obtain upon hire). 
\n Availability & Scheduling 
\n     ? Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts including early mornings, mid-day and evening shifts as needed CM 
\n     ? Availability for early morning, midday, and evening shifts as needed. 
\n     ? Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while maintaining quality. 
\n     ? Strong attendance and reliability to ensure consistent meal service for residents. 
\n Physical Requirements 
\n     ? Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks such as bending, pushing, and pulling. 
\n Must follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
