About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36-48 hours Experience: Preferred Acute care facility experience License: Required Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice Certifications: Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor. Must-Have: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale. Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of assigned nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines. Utilizes critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to patient health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or patient situation. Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers to provide patient care in a safe, healing, and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients, requiring all associates to receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment.
