What Your Role Involves

• Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized evaluations and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies targeting both immediate objectives and overarching communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions focused on essentials such as voice, fluency, language, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members, to curate comprehensive care plans.
• Provide education for patients and their families to enhance progress beyond clinical settings.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the patient journey.
• Keep meticulous and timely documentation in line with state regulations and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and cooperative learning to stay abreast of innovations in the field.

Qualifications Required

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Licensure and Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• CCC-SLP from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
