Requirements
- Active RN licensure (able to practice in NC or via compact license)
- BLS required
- Demonstrated telemetry monitoring skills and experience with medical telemetry
- Proficiency or experience with Cerner (preferred)
- CMSRN encouraged
- BSN and leadership/charge experience preferred
- Able to work night shift schedule and fulfill weekend staffing requirement (must sign up for 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented med-surg/telemetry environment

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed med-surg telemetry unit during assigned night shifts, including continuous cardiac monitoring and assessment
- Perform admissions, discharges, and patient preparation for procedures as needed; collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
- Accurately document patient care and observations in the electronic medical record (Cerner) and follow unit policies and protocols
- Administer medications, respond to changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns according to unit guidelines
- Float to sister med-surg units as required and assist with maintaining safe staffing ratios and patient flow
- Participate in required scheduling patterns, including assigned weekend coverage and on-call expectations when applicable

Job Description
This is a 13-week travel RN assignment on a night-shift med-surg telemetry unit in Asheville, NC, beginning 05/04/2026. The role requires a clinician experienced in cardiac telemetry monitoring, comfortable working nights (18:45–07:15) and meeting a regular weekend staffing commitment. You will work on a 36-bed unit, perform comprehensive patient assessments, manage telemetry monitoring, document care in Cerner, coordinate with the care team for admissions and procedures, and occasionally float to nearby med-surg units. Required certifications include BLS and demonstrated telemetry competence; CMSRN is encouraged. Compensation includes an estimated taxable hourly rate plus a weekly stipend as outlined above.
