About the Position

We are seeking a Board‑Certified Rheumatologist for a full‑time locum tenens assignment providing outpatient rheumatology clinic coverage . This position is ideal for a physician interested in a stable weekday schedule with shared call responsibilities.

Schedule Details:

• Monday–Friday
• Clinic hours between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Variable clinic sessions within standard daytime hours
• Full‑time coverage

Call Responsibilities:

• 1 in 3 weekends
• Rotating evening call coverage

The physician will manage an established outpatient rheumatology practice with an average of 18 patients per day and an annual clinic volume of approximately 2,000 visits . The department includes two rheumatologists and close collaboration with orthopedic specialists . There is no APP coverage in this service line.

Requirements

Board Certified in Rheumatology
MD required
Active Massachusetts Medical License (required)
Flu vaccination required (no waivers or exceptions accepted)
Current or most recent direct supervisor reference required
Comfortable managing a full outpatient rheumatology panel
Strong collaborative skills for multidisciplinary care
Epic EMR experience preferred
Telehealth experience not required
