Part Time Cashier

Responsibilities This is a part‑time position. Primary responsibility is to take excellent care of customers by satisfying each customer's needs, exceeding expectations, and making every shopping visit pleasant and satisfactory. This requires following correct bagging procedures, providing carry‑out and parcel pickup service, loading merchandise into customer vehicles, and returning shopping carts to the store. Qualifications Must be at least 16 years of age. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to participate in and complete required training and to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales. Must be able to read, comprehend, and write simple correspondence in English; present information verbally to English‑speaking customers and associates. Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers. Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions and deal with problems involving few variables in standardized situations. Must complete company training including new‑hire orientation, customer service network, safety, bagger technical skills, and product knowledge. Physical Demands Stand, walk, use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, smell. Occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Regularly lift or move up to 40 pounds and reach from 6 to 72 inches. Requires close vision and depth perception. Work Environment Occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. Possibly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme cold.
