HR AssistantThe Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and operational support for the Human Resources Department. This position assists with recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, compliance tracking, and employee support. The HR Assistant serves as a key point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, benefits enrollment, and general employment-related inquiries while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with federal, state, and healthcare industry regulations.Primary ResponsibilitiesHuman Resources AdministrationBenefits AdministrationRecruitment and Onboarding SupportCompliance and ReportingEmployee Relations SupportPeriodic DutiesParticipates in Health Center staff problem solving groups.Attends and participates in department meetings, etc.Performs other duties as assigned.Working RelationshipsInside Health Center: All inclusive.Outside Health Center: Patients/clients, students, vendors, community health agencies, hospitals, insurance companies, Medicare/Medicaid, physician offices, etc.Approved Work LocationsCarondeletDutchtownForest Park SoutheastUniversity CityRUNG for WomenPlaces for PeopleAny other approved locations added in the future.QualificationsAssociate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.Bachelor's degree preferred.Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources administrative experience required.Experience administering employee benefits programs required.Experience in a healthcare, community health center, FQHC, or medical environment preferred.Experience with HRIS and payroll systems preferred.Knowledge of human resources principles and employment regulations.Understanding of employee benefits administration, including health and retirement plans.Familiarity with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and related employment laws.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS platforms, and data entry systems.Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.Ability to attend meeting and training sessions throughout facility locations as needed.ConfidentialityRespect for and maintenance of client and staff confidentiality is required.
