With an expanding client roster and growing scopes of work, our best-in-class team supports some of the world’s most recognizable global brands, including The Coca-Cola Company, Verizon, and Google.This is a great opportunity for someone early in their data science career who is excited to apply technical and analytical skills to real-world business, marketing, and communications challenges. Working alongside data scientists, analysts, engineers, and strategists, you’ll support data science, dashboarding, and AI-driven initiatives that turn complex data into clear, actionable insights.The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of relevant experience and a strong foundation in Python, SQL, statistics, and data analysis. We’re looking for someone who is intellectually curious, comfortable working with complex datasets, and eager to continue developing their technical and client-facing skills.What you'll do:Support the end-to-end delivery of data science and analytics projects, including data preparation, analysis, modeling, visualization, and documentationAssist with the development, testing, and refinement of predictive models, including time-series, forecasting, and machine learning solutionsWrite and maintain code in Python, SQL, and/or R to clean, transform, analyze, and model dataConduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, anomalies, risks, and opportunitiesSupport the development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processesWork with structured and unstructured data from APIs, cloud platforms, databases, and other sourcesIntegrate analytical and predictive outputs into client-ready dashboards, reports, and toolsBuild and maintain dashboards and data visualizations using platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or LookerAssist with evaluating model performance, data quality, and the accuracy of analytical outputsTranslate technical findings into clear business insights and recommendations for non-technical audiencesSupport client meetings and presentations by preparing analyses, visualizations, and key takeawaysConduct ad hoc analyses to answer specific client and business questionsDocument methodologies, code, models, and project deliverablesParticipate in code reviews and follow established standards and best practicesSupport the responsible and effective use of AI across analytics workflowsCollaborate with data scientists, analysts, engineers, and strategists across multiple projectsExperience that contributes to success:1–2 years of experience in data science, data analytics, data engineering, business intelligence, or a related field, including relevant internship or professional experienceBachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline, or equivalent relevant experienceHands-on experience using Python and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and modelingFamiliarity with Python data science libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learnFoundational understanding of predictive modeling, statistical analysis, machine learning, and forecastingExposure to analytical techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, optimization, or time-series analysisExperience with dashboarding and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or LookerFamiliarity with ETL/ELT processes, APIs, relational databases, and data pipelinesExposure to cloud data platforms such as AWS or Redshift is a plusFoundational understanding of data modeling concepts, including star and snowflake schemasStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detailAbility to communicate technical concepts and analytical findings clearly to non-technical audiencesAbility to manage priorities and contribute across multiple projects in a collaborative environmentExperience in PR, communications, advertising, marketing analytics, or another client-service environment is a plusCuriosity and a strong desire to continue developing technical, business, and client-facing skillsCommitment to using data and AI thoughtfully, responsibly, and effectively#LI-FB1Burson is an equal opportunity employer and considers applicants for all positions without discrimination or regard to particular characteristics.
