Senior Lead Business Growth Consultant - BAA Advocate Coach

About this role:

Wells Fargo Advisors is seeking a Senior Lead Business Growth Consultant to serve as a Black/African American (BAA) Advocate Coach. This role is responsible for driving advisor growth, professional development, leadership advancement, and business success by providing strategic coaching, consulting, and advocacy support to Financial Advisors, managers, and field leaders.

The BAA Advocate Coach plays a key role in supporting Wells Fargo Advisors' ongoing commitment to the development, engagement, advancement, and retention of Black/African American advisors and leaders. Through individualized coaching, leadership development, business growth consulting, and strategic partnership across Wealth & Investment Management, this role helps advisors build stronger practices, increase productivity, strengthen client relationships, and achieve long-term career success.

This position collaborates closely with divisional leadership, executive sponsors, practice management teams, recruiting partners, and leadership development programs to support advisor growth and cultivate a strong pipeline of future leaders.

In this role, you will:

• Provide advanced coaching, consulting, and business development support to Black/African American Financial Advisors, managers, and field leaders.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to Financial Advisors across all stages of their careers, from newer advisors to highly successful and established producers.
• Lead business growth initiatives focused on advisor productivity, client acquisition, client retention, practice management, and long-term business development.
• Design and deliver individualized coaching engagements, workshops, webinars, peer-sharing forums, and development programs that enhance advisor performance and leadership effectiveness.
• Partner with divisional leadership and executive sponsors to support the engagement, advancement, development, and retention of Black/African American advisor talent.
• Support leadership development initiatives that help identify and prepare diverse talent for future management and leadership opportunities.
• Collaborate with Practice Management Directors and other business partners to align coaching strategies with broader advisor development programs.
• Increase awareness and adoption of firm resources, planning solutions, advisory capabilities, and practice management tools.
• Build strategic relationships that create growth opportunities, professional development experiences, and stronger advisor engagement.
• Represent Wells Fargo Advisors at internal and external events, conferences, and development programs focused on advisor growth, leadership development, and industry engagement.
• Influence advisor and leader behaviors through coaching, guidance, and consulting that support stronger business outcomes.
• Provide thought leadership, insights, and recommendations to senior leaders regarding advisor development and business growth opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Business Growth Strategy experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 5+ years of experience coaching, consulting, developing, or leading financial professionals, advisors, or business leaders.
• 5+ years of experience facilitating presentations, workshops, training programs, or leadership development sessions.

Desired Qualifications:

• Financial Advisor, Branch Manager, Market Leader, Practice Management, Recruiting, Advisor Development, Leadership Development, or Business Development experience.
• Experience influencing and providing guidance to experienced professionals, including senior advisors, leaders, or executives.
• Demonstrated ability to build credibility and consult with professionals at varying levels of experience, including highly successful and established advisors.
• Strong relationship management, communication, presentation, facilitation, and influence skills.
• Experience developing and executing strategic business development or advisor growth initiatives.
• Experience coaching experienced advisors and helping drive growth in advisor practices.
• Knowledge of advisor business development, practice management, wealth management solutions, and advisor career progression models.
• Experience working with diverse talent development, leadership advancement, or advisor engagement initiatives.
• Demonstrated executive presence with experience presenting recommendations, business outcomes, or strategic initiatives to senior leadership.
• Proven ability to lead programs that drive advisor engagement, retention, development, and business growth.
• FINRA Series 7, 65, or 66 licenses preferred.

Job Expectations:

• Travel as needed to support advisor coaching, leadership development, recruiting, engagement, and business growth activities.
• Lead both virtual and in-person coaching, consulting, training, and development programs.
• Support advisors and leaders across multiple geographic regions.
• Build strong partnerships with divisional leaders, executive sponsors, branch leadership, and business partners.
• Open to working within a Wells Fargo footprint location, with preference given to locations that support strong partnership and engagement opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Serve as an advocate for Black/African American advisor growth, engagement, development, leadership advancement, and business success across the organization.

Pay Range

Salary is just one component of Wells Fargo's total rewards package. Depending on the role, a Wells Fargo's employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities. $159,000.00 - $279,000.00
