Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking flexible, enthusiastic, and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our adult medical/surgical unit. This unique unit specializes in providing care to patients with active co-morbid psychiatric and/or behavioral issues. There are limited similar units across the country, making this an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality nursing care to patients with medical/surgical needs and psychiatric health conditions.Adapt to a varied patient population in a dynamic environment.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.Engage in ongoing education and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills.Assist in the unit's growth and development through active participation.QualificationsCurrent RN License (New York State only).Minimum of 2 years of recent medical/surgical experience.Experience in psychology or psychiatric care is required.Telemetry experience is preferred.CertificationsBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.Opportunities for AdvancementNurses in this unit have the opportunity to become dual-certified in both medical/surgical nursing and psychiatric nursing after meeting the experience requirements.
