Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years current Emergency Room experience required License: Massachusetts RN License required Certifications: - Active American Heart Association BLS - Active American Heart Association ACLS - Active American Heart Association PALS Must-Have: - Must possess and demonstrate critical thinking skills. - Must maintain emotional stability in emergency settings. - Traveler must have their own vehicle for this position. - Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified during upload. Description: This position requires functioning independently under general guidance. Nurses will follow guidelines and protocols specific to the unit. Duties necessitate independent action and judgment. Utilize time management, communication, planning, delegating, and problem-solving in providing care. Travelers may not take all holidays off. Work is required during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year holidays if scheduled. The dress code is personal scrubs of any color. No more than five days of requested time off will be accepted. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission. Requests made after the offer may lead to a rescinded offer. Supervisory signed references from within the past two years of employment are required. Experience with ED Triage/Cardiac Room and knowledge of Meditech Expanse will receive first consideration. IV Certification, ENPC, and CEN are preferred. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
