Agentic AI Engineer

We are looking for an Agentic AI Engineer, based in Latin America to work on a long-term project for one of our clients, a Fintech company based in Los Angeles, California. Our client is on a mission to build products that level the financial playing field. Their banking app helps millions of members bank, budget, find work, build credit, and access up to $500 advances without paying a fee.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy agentic AI patterns and architectures for intelligent, scalable financial applications.
• Build AI agents capable of planning, reasoning, tool use, workflow orchestration, and autonomous task execution.
• Develop production-grade services and integrations using Python and TypeScript.
• Leverage Google Cloud Platform services to build secure, scalable, and highly available AI solutions.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data, and risk teams to translate business requirements into robust agentic solutions.
• Integrate LLMs, APIs, data sources, and enterprise systems into agent-based workflows.
• Establish best practices for agent evaluation, observability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Design solutions with financial-services security, compliance, data privacy, and auditability requirements in mind.
• Prototype emerging agentic AI techniques and drive their adoption into production systems.
• Troubleshoot and optimize AI applications for scalability, latency, cost, and reliability.

Requirements:

• Advanced level of English.
• 5+ years of professional experience developing software with Python and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing agentic AI patterns, AI agents, or LLM-powered applications.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native application development.
• Solid understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, tool/function calling, RAG, and AI workflow orchestration.
• Experience building and integrating REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including testing, CI/CD, version control, and production deployment.
• Experience with AI/ML application observability, evaluation, and performance optimization.
• Bonus points: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related fields. Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or other financial-services environments.
