Warehouse WorkerThe Warehouse Worker plays a key role in ensuring mail and parcel processing runs smoothly and accurately. In this position, you sort and inspect envelopes, verify that information is correct and properly aligned, and maintain high quality standards while working at a fast pace. You support overall warehouse operations through material handling, picking, packing, and inventory activities, contributing to efficient shipping and receiving processes.ResponsibilitiesSort mail and envelopes accurately and efficiently, ensuring items are processed in a timely manner.Verify that information printed on each envelope is correct, legible, and properly aligned.Inspect envelopes and related materials to ensure they meet established quality standards.Maintain a quick and consistent work pace while meeting productivity and accuracy goals.Perform general warehouse labor tasks, including loading, unloading, and moving materials.Use equipment such as pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts to transport and organize products as needed.Pick and pack orders accurately according to instructions and shipping requirements.Support inventory activities, including warehouse inventory counts and stock organization.Essential SkillsStrong attention to detail for verifying envelope information and maintaining quality standards.Excellent verbal communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and leadership.Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain an orderly work area.Good written communication skills for basic documentation and reading instructions or labels.Efficient time management skills to work at a quick pace and meet production targets.Ability to perform general labor tasks, including standing, moving, sorting, loading, and material handling in a warehouse environment.Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced production setting.Comfort using warehouse tools and equipment such as pallet jacks, sit-down forklifts, and RF scanners.Basic computer skills or computer knowledge preferred for operating warehouse systems and scanners.Why Work Here?You join a clean, climate-controlled facility that values efficiency, accuracy, and teamwork, especially during the busy holiday season. Operations run Monday through Saturday with two primary shifts: a first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and a second shift from 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Overtime is heavily preferred, and team members can choose to work full extended shifts or standard eight-hour shifts depending on their availability. You work with common warehouse tools and technologies, including pallet jacks, sit-down forklifts, RF scanners, and computer-based systems for inventory and order tracking, within an organized production and shipping area.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Lincoln, NE.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
