Maintenance Technician

Core Linen Services is a leader in hospital and hospitality laundry processing services around the country. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe completion of all scheduled daily task and non-scheduled task on his shift. Entry Level Tech must be team oriented and able to function individually or with the team on all Maintenance Issues. The right individual will always be willing to go the extra mile. Must be self-motivated, independent, clean in appearance, prompt, and able to handle multiple tasks as priorities present themselves.

Minimum Skill Levels:

• Safety: Must be able to operate tools and equipment safely. Must be able to understand all safety procedures, which includes but not limited to lockout/tag out, confined space entry, and working on hot equipment. Must be able to maintain clean and safe work area for themselves and the associates around them.
• Mechanical: Must have a good working knowledge of machinery. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints helpful. Able to repair and maintain mechanical drive systems.
• Pneumatics and Hydraulics: Must have a basic understanding of air-operated equipment. Must have a basic understanding of hydraulic operated equipment.
• Welding: A basic knowledge of welding helpful.
• Electrical: Must have a basic knowledge of industrial wiring. Must have a basic knowledge of three phase motor wiring for both high and low voltage.
• Electronics: Must have a basic knowledge of industrial electronics.
• Boiler Operations: A basic knowledge of boiler safety helpful. A basic knowledge of boiler operations helpful.

Primary duties include but not limited to:

• PM's Scheduled Task: Ensure that PM's issued to you are completed on schedule. Assist the personnel on your shift with their assigned PM's when needed.
• Production Support: Ensure that all calls from production are answered in a timely manner. Assist Production Supervisors on your shift with any Maintenance related issues.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting skills are crucial for success in this position. Must be able to troubleshoot a variety of equipment including Pneumatic, Hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Scheduled Maintenance Task: Ensure that all scheduled tasks issued for your shift are completed in a timely manner. Assists the personnel on your shift with all tasks assigned. Maintain the maintenance log by making entries of incomplete task and new problems.
• Communications: Must have solid communication skills. Notify Production Supervisors on the status of any equipment that will affect production or cause down time. Notify Production Supervisors when downed equipment is back online.
• Attendance: Must be dependable and on time, ready to start work at the beginning of their shift. Must be able work overtime and weekends when necessary. Maintain a positive attitude.
