Job Details Job Location: 532 - Osage Beach Margaritaville - Osage Beach, MO 65065 Job Type: Full Time Pay: $15.00 per hour Age Requirement: Must be at least 16 years of age Reports to: JBs Restaurant Manager Role Overview As the Restaurant Cashier and Host you will welcome guests to the restaurant, seat them to maintain appropriate numbers in each server area and answer calls for reservations or inquiries. We are looking for a confident and welcoming individual to greet and sit guests at JBs Boathouse Restaurant. Responsibilities Greet all guests in a warm and enthusiastic manner, provide silverware and appropriate menus, and advise of any daily specials. Seat guests in appropriate sections and fairly to all servers. Answer the telephone after no more than three rings, including room service, and assign orders to servers. Handle closing of guest transactions in restaurant and room services, close out register, and balance out cash for shift. Set up host stand with menus, blank checks, cash trays, register tape, candy, change, vouchers, etc.; check tables to ensure proper set up for each shift. Check guest tables to ensure guest service and food quality are satisfactory and up to Driftwood and hotel standards. Notify a manager immediately of any guest complaints. Use proper etiquette guidelines for seating guests. Practice and observe all safety rules and procedures. Assist all service personnel in any duties as requested. Maintain and follow all cash handling procedures. Accurately use various office software. Utilize protective equipment. Report unsafe conditions to supervisor/manager. Report accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to supervisor/manager. Provide a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules. All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance (specific standards outlined in team member handbook). Perform any related duties as requested by supervisor/manager. Assist other Restaurant Personnel when needed. Qualifications Knowledge of all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests. Hold a current Food Handler Card or be in the process of being certified. Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette. Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware. Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate simple instructions. Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to ensure safe application of products and processes within the hotel. Physical Demands Transport up to 30 lbs. continuously throughout the shift. Lifting thirty (30) pounds. Move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. Constant standing & walking required. Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling.
