Events Intern

Events Intern is responsible for planning, booking and delivering a range of events, including weddings, corporate functions, and special events. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth and ensuring the successful execution of high-quality events. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Identify and pursue new business opportunities to build revenue through weddings, cooperation, and special events. Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, goals, and requirements for each event. Assist the Sales Department in developing and presenting comprehensive sales proposals tailored to clients’ needs. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution of events. Oversee all logistical aspects of event planning, including venue selection, catering, and entertainment. Maintain strong relationships with clients and partners to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction. Proven experience in event planning, with a strong history of delivering successful events. Excellent communication and people skills. Strong organizational skills and diligence in detail. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules. Ensure all bookings are successfully conducted from start to finish, including booking, contracts, payments, preparing timelines, vendor communication, continued communication with clients, rehearsal schedules and event day prep. Knowledge of wedding and corporate sales, catering services, and hospitality industry practices. Searches for and identifies new potential clients, in addition to searching for talent and entertainment for unique events and activities. Creative mindset with the ability to develop unique event concepts and experiences. Maintain accurate records of group reservations in various tracking documents, including Outlook, Excel, Pipedrive, and the Siriusware reservation system. Attend outside events or trade shows to promote Weddings and Corporate events as assigned. Coordinates services for decor, audiovisual equipment, security, and food services. Works with the Group Sales Department to help implement, book, and conduct group site visits and bookings as needed. Knowledge of public assembly ordinances and regulations, public health, safety, and occupancy codes and ordinances. Knowledge of current business, tourist trends, fads, fashions, and event planning.
