RN Level 2

The Registered Nurse (RN) Level 2 will provide skilled nursing care to geriatric residents in a long-term care setting. The role includes direct patient care, assessments, documentation, medication administration, and oversight of LPN and CNA staff. The RN will support older adults with wound care needs in a non-acute care environment, requiring strong communication, flexibility, and delegation skills. A minimum of two years' experience in long-term care and active NYS RN licensure are required. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to up to 20 residents, including assessments and implementation of nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Supervise and provide guidance to LPN and CNA colleagues.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality care.
• Maintain communication with residents and their families regarding care plans and progress.
• Participate in quality improvement and compliance activities as required.

• Active Registered Nurse license in New York State (NYS RN license only).
• Minimum of two years' experience in long-term care nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills.
• Effective communication and delegation abilities.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring.

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) such as EPIC within the last year.
• Additional certifications related to geriatric or wound care nursing.
• Demonstrated flexibility in shift assignments and teamwork.

• Work involves providing care in a long-term care environment without acute care or tracheostomy patients.
• On-call, weekend, and holiday shifts are required based on unit needs.
• Must have reliable transportation and ability to work across day, evening, and night shifts.
• Compliance with TB skin testing and other health screening requirements.

• Shifts include days, evenings, and nights with weekend and holiday coverage as needed.
• Shift assignments are determined by unit staffing requirements and may include on-call duties.
