RN - PACU
This is a backfill contract for an RN in the PACU. The shift is from 09:30 to 18:00, Monday through Friday. Call is required for 2-3 shifts every 4 weeks. The unit has 16 beds and is staffed by 12 personnel. There are 11 day nurses and 1 night nurse. The patient ratio is either 2:1 or 1:1. Equipment includes IV pumps, arterial lines, BiPAPs, chest tubes, bladder scans, and Dopplers for pulse checks. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates with phase 1 experience are preferred. Critical care experience is also beneficial. Typical procedures performed include nerve blocks, lumbar punctures, and chest tube placements. The ideal candidate should have a laid-back personality and be good at multitasking. They should prefer teamwork. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs. The unit recognizes achievements, including an Employee of the Month award. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for learning and growth.
