Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

The Registered Nurse performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. The RN monitors, records, and communicates patient condition appropriately to the care team, physician, patient, and family. The role involves assisting patients with performing activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaboration across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support is essential.

• Circulates during C/Sections and assists during deliveries as needed.
• Follows appropriate policies during the recovery and care of surgical patients.
• Attends to the neonatal station in the C/Section suite and completely assesses the neonate post delivery.
• Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or families, providing necessary education.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Must have ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE & AWHONN certifications.

Must possess a valid Wyoming RN license or RN compact license.

Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and Labor & Delivery.

Candidate may be required to float to another unit based on facility census.
