Burn Unit Registered Nurse (RN)

As a Burn Unit Registered Nurse (RN), you'll play a vital role in the healing journey of patients with a variety of burn injuries. With stays ranging from days to weeks, you'll build meaningful relationships and witness powerful healing journeys. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing patient condition and environment to recognize changes, manage pain, and ensure safety throughout their care journey
• Performing expert procedures and medication administration – including pain relief and fluid therapy – delivering advanced wound care and dressing changes, monitoring responses and acting swiftly to promote healing and comfort
• Educating and supporting patients and families with compassion and clarity to confidently navigate recovery and make informed decisions
• Collaborating with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide seamless, patient-centered care tailored to each individual's needs

What qualifications you will need:

• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate nursing licensure.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or ARC.
• Graduate of a certified School of Nursing school.
• One or more years of acute RN experience. Inaptient or outpatient burn or wound care experience preferred.

The Registered Nurse demonstrates advanced knowledge, skills and understands the unique aspects of the population served in the care of his/her patients. Each service also requires specialized skills. The delivery of care is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patient. The Registered Nurse may rotate to areas other than his/her assigned service area/s, and will perform only those duties for which he/she has demonstrated competency. The Registered Nurse performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at HCA HealthONE Swedish.
