Real Estate Associate

A premier law firm is looking for a talented Associate to join its Real Estate practice group within the Commercial Lending Department in its New York office. The team advises a wide range of clients, including financial institutions, insurance companies, institutional investors, and corporate finance groups, across sophisticated lending and investment transactions. The practice handles a broad spectrum of real estate finance matters involving assets such as multifamily developments, hospitality properties, energy projects, mixed-use developments, and medical office facilities. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of experience in real estate and/or finance law, with demonstrated experience in several of the following areas: Preparing and negotiating mortgage documents and related real estate agreements Drafting and reviewing loan documents, credit agreements, and guaranties Analyzing title reports, surveys, and related diligence materials Handling real estate financing closings from start to finish Candidates should have experience representing lenders, institutional investors, developers, landlords, credit tenants, and other real estate market participants. The ability to understand and navigate complex financing structures and transaction dynamics is highly valued. The successful candidate will possess strong academic credentials, exceptional legal research, writing, and communication skills, and a strong dedication to client service. This role requires someone who can work effectively in a fast-moving environment, manage competing priorities, collaborate with colleagues, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines. A professional demeanor, adaptability, and receptiveness to feedback are important qualities for success in this position.
