Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in North Carolina, requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience and active Epic proficiency.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 733 staffed beds, operating as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including potential float to sister campus locations
• No on-call requirements
• Charting performed in Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active RN license — NC state or Compact license currently in hand; pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Pre-start orientation modules must be completed prior to the first day (estimated 4–10 hours)
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning
• Night shift travelers may extend up to two times before being required to leave for a minimum of 6 months
• RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a maximum of 4 days unless otherwise approved
• Only one holiday off can be approved per assignment
• First-time travelers are not mentioned as accepted; 2 years of relevant experience is required
