About the Role: Startup Mentor

ENGII is seeking an experienced Startup Mentor to advise its founding team as the company advances from prototype development and pilot validation toward commercialization and market expansion. The mentor will provide practical guidance on company building, customer discovery, fundraising, product strategy, partnerships, and go-to-market execution. This part-time role is ideal for an experienced founder, operator, investor, or startup advisor interested in supporting an early-stage technology company at the intersection of engineering, energy efficiency, software, and commercial real estate.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor the founding team on startup strategy, leadership, prioritization, and execution.

• Provide guidance on customer discovery, product-market fit, pricing, and go-to-market planning.
\n
• Review fundraising materials, investor presentations, business plans, and growth strategies.
\n
• Introduce ENGII to potential customers, strategic partners, investors, and industry experts when appropriate.
\n
• Participate in periodic mentoring sessions and provide targeted feedback between meetings as needed.
\n

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a startup founder, executive, investor, accelerator mentor, or early-stage advisor.
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge of product development, commercialization, fundraising, or business development.
\n
• Familiarity with software, climate technology, construction technology, energy efficiency, engineering, or real estate is preferred.
\n
• Ability to provide clear, practical, and candid guidance to an early-stage founding team.
\n
• Strong professional network and an interest in helping mission-driven technology companies grow.
\n

Compensation & Benefits

This is a part-time mentoring role with the opportunity to receive sweat equity, subject to company approval and the terms of a final advisory or mentoring agreement. Mentors may also have the opportunity to participate as angel investors. The role provides direct exposure to an early-stage company, its leadership team, and a growing market opportunity in building audit automation and energy analytics.
