Part-Time Production Support Staff

Job Description and Position Requirements The HUB-Robeson Center/Schwab Auditorium is looking for students to join the Production Support Staff. The Production Support Staff plays a crucial role in the preparation and execution of live events in Schwab Auditorium and across multiple venues in the HUB-Robeson Center. This position helps to provide customers with a high‑quality production experience while upholding venue and event standards, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities Event setup, teardown, and changeover Programming and live operation of lighting/sound/video equipment Managing performers and maintaining backstage and onstage functions Troubleshooting technical and event‑related problems as they arise Implementing and overseeing safety best practices Carrying out and enforcing venue/event policies and procedures Serving as a point‑of‑contact for event organizers, performers, and patrons Overseeing the building and acting as a venue representative during rehearsals Assisting with additional production/technical duties as needed Qualifications Successful candidates must be current Penn State students who have or wish to develop excellent problem‑solving and leadership skills; possess a desire to work as part of a team, maintain a positive attitude, and exhibit the ability to quickly adapt in a fast‑paced environment. Previous events/technical experience helpful but not required. Some physical labor and occasional lifting may be necessary. This is a flexible, part‑time position. Scheduling for work is dependent on student availability and event needs. Hours may vary throughout the semester. Must be available to work nights and weekends.
