We’re looking for a hands-on training engineer to architect and deliver pipefitting instruction for shipyard field support teams and customers. Your mission: create rigorous, practical learning that raises performance across the fleet.

Your impact

• Plan and develop in-house training programs aligned to operational needs.
• Build course content, training materials, and multimedia aids.
• Select instructional methodologies; coordinate and produce training aids.
• Facilitate training sessions; engage subject-matter expert trainers as needed.
• Define evaluation criteria; assess outcomes; implement improvements.
• Continuously revise lesson plans to reflect new requirements and current technical data.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; OR Master's Degree and 2 years of relevant experience.

One of the following may be used as an equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:

• Apprentice School graduate
• Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
• Associate's Degree or other formal 2-year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
• High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience, or other relevant exempt experience
• High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience, or other relevant non-exempt experience

Preferred qualifications

• O26 or O67 training instructional experience and/or trade supervisory experience
• Experience with training operations (scheduling, facilitation, course development)
• People leadership and day-to-day task management
• High level of professionalism
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
