Clinical Nurse III - Radiation Oncology

Our outpatient clinic in Upland is looking for a skilled and compassionate Radiation Oncology Nurse to become a key player in our dynamic team. Responsibilities Support providers with consults and follow‑ups. Perform patient education. Start IVs for CT simulations with contrast and coordinate chemotherapy. Triage patient concerns related to their radiation therapy treatments and care‑related questions on side effects and wound care. Help support the patient’s health literacy by providing patient education and answering clinical questions related to their care plan. Assist in coordinating PEG tube placement and dental clearance for head and neck patients. Assist in the radiation oncology care plan for cardiac devices. Navigate patients and caregivers through any barriers to care to aid in providing timely treatment, acting as a liaison with other service lines such as financial counselors, social services, and transportation. (high‑level awareness of payor authorization related questions that could affect the patients’ care.) Support the patient and caregivers in quality‑of‑life goals and survivorship. 8‑hour shift, Monday – Friday (7:30 am – 4:00 pm). Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in nursing is required. Three to five years of related experience. Current California Registered Nurse License. Current BLS certification from American Heart Association. Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual preferred. One (1) year radiation oncology experience. Two (2) years of experience working in a physician’s office or hospital. ONS or OCN certification.
