This position is based in our Warren and Southgate, Michigan locations and offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career while working alongside a supportive team dedicated to providing exceptional orthodontic care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient procedures, including bonding, banding, archwire changes, and appliance placement/removal.

• Take high-quality digital X-rays, intraoral photographs, and dental impressions or digital scans.

• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment following OSHA and infection control standards.

• Educate patients and parents on orthodontic treatment, oral hygiene, appliance care, and post-treatment instructions.

• Assist with clear aligner treatment, retainer delivery, and other orthodontic procedures.

• Accurately document patient treatment, progress notes, and clinical information in the electronic health record.

• Deliver exceptional customer service by creating a friendly, welcoming experience for every patient and family.

• Work collaboratively with doctors and team members to ensure efficient patient flow and an outstanding patient experience.

Qualifications

• Previous orthodontic assisting experience preferred (dental assisting experience considered).

• Dental radiography certification, or the ability to obtain certification.

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and terminology.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Comfortable working with both children and adults while creating a positive, reassuring environment.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently.

• Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional patient care.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow with the practice.
