Registered Nurse - Circulator

Job Description

The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. They provide routine and complex care, while developing the ability to manage clinical contingencies. The Nurse makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers to help manage the clinical situation.

Responsibilities

• Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Consistently provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments according to appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS required (AHA only).
• RN License in state of TX or compact.

Schedule

This position operates on a full-time schedule from 3 PM to 11 PM.
