Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
This is a 13-week contract position.
7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 36 hours scheduled, 24 hours guaranteed. Please note that Banner is allowed to cancel 1 shift.
The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery will provide high-quality nursing care to expectant mothers and newborns. Responsibilities include monitoring the health of mothers and infants, providing education regarding labor and delivery processes, and responding to emergencies as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments of patients in labor and delivery.
- Provide guidance and education to expectant mothers and families.
- Administer medications and manage pain relief options.
- Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs.
- Assist in labor and delivery, ensuring safety and comfort for the mother and baby.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 24 months of Labor and Delivery experience with recent experience in the last 12 months is required.
- Life support certifications must be from AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
- No hits on state license to practice.
- Driver's license to verify residency.
- Travel experience is highly preferred.
- Active ACLS, BLS, AFM, and NRP certifications required.
