Position:  Facilities Maintenance Technician

Schedule :

• Monday - Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

Ability to Commute:

• Little Falls, NJ 07424 (Required)

We are seeking a skilled and proactive commercial Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance, repairs, and improvements across our facilities. This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual with hands-on experience in commercial building systems and a commitment to high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

Preventive Maintenance

• Perform routine inspections and scheduled maintenance of commercial building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.
• Maintain service logs and documentation for all preventive tasks performed.

Repairs and Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and repair issues such as plumbing leaks, electrical malfunctions, broken fixtures, and mechanical failures.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to address general maintenance needs.

Property Improvements

• Collaborate with team members on minor renovations such as painting, drywall repair, flooring touch-ups, and equipment installation.
• Assist with outdoor maintenance and landscaping tasks as needed.

Emergency and On-Call Support

• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests from tenants or management, including on-call coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Safety and Compliance

• Ensure all maintenance tasks are performed in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Use appropriate PPE and follow protocols to maintain a safe work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in commercial facilities maintenance, building engineering, or a related role.
• Proficient in basic repair techniques for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment required for general building maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform manual labor.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing trades.
