High School Science Teacher

Position Overview

Eureka Springs High School is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and collaborative High School Science Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year. The ideal candidate will have a passion for scientific inquiry and a genuine desire to help students succeed.


The teaching assignment primarily focuses on core 9-12 science curriculum, specifically Biology and Physical Science .

Key Responsibilities

  • Instructional Leadership: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in Biology and Physical Science that incorporate laboratory experiments and hands-on learning.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, inclusive, orderly, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and respect.
  • Collaboration: Act as a true team player within the high school faculty, participating actively in professional learning communities (PLCs), staff meetings, and cross-curricular initiatives.
  • Student Assessment: Evaluate and track student progress using diverse assessment methods, providing timely feedback to students, parents, and administration.
  • Adaptability: Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students, ensuring equal opportunities for growth.
Qualifications & Requirements

  • Licensure: Valid Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) teaching certification for Secondary Science, or eligibility for a valid Arkansas reciprocal/alternative pathway license.
  • Experience: Prior high school teaching experience is preferred, but not required . Energetic first-year teachers and recent graduates are highly encouraged to apply!
