Job Details

Our law firm is seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney with a strong interest in Defense Litigation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for law, a mind for strategic litigation and a commitment to excellence. Responsibilities:

• Work with senior attorneys to manage aspects of litigation, including taking and defending depositions, attending court conferences, reviewing pleadings and preparing for and going to trial.
• Conduct legal research and draft complex pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals.
• Regularly handle court appearances and depositions.
• Consult with clients to ascertain and address their legal needs.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve cases favorably.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in interactions with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Contribute to firm growth by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
• Stay updated with changes in law, court decisions, and other legal matters that could impact the firm's clients.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney, specifically in defense litigation.
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
• Proven experience in managing a full caseload.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Unwavering ethics and a high level of professionalism.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve disputes favorably for clients.
