Discover the possibilities of a career at Northside today. Responsibilities Perform as a cross-trained, multi-functional team member of the office practice. Ensure accurate and timely charge capture and billing of office visits and inpatient charges, front office assistant responsibilities, precertification, scheduling, or other administrative functions as assigned. Collect physician and technical superbills and rounding sheets daily. Enter and verify patient demographics and insurance information. Verify medical benefits and obtain preauthorization. Cross-train in the billing process cycle to include charge capture, insurance, collections, and payment processing including outsourced receivables. Qualifications High school diploma, equivalent education (GED), or post-secondary education. Two (2) years of experience in a clerical environment, preferably in a healthcare environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a medical office setting. Ability to read and understand medical record charts. Basic typing skills. Knowledge of current ICD-9 and CPT codes.
