Amphenol Borisch Technologies is currently seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist for our facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan . The CNC Machinist is responsible for ensuring effective operations by performing the following duties.

Available shifts: 2nd

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs Basic setups on all CNC Machines with the direction of the Sr. CNC Programmer.
• Effectively loads and unloads part from fixtures in accordance with the applicable Work Instructions.
• Monitors tool life and replaces worn tooling when necessary.
• Monitors proper coolant and other fluid levels in the CNC Machines.
• Ensures that we are maintaining the highest quality standards at all times.
• Completes necessary deburring on completed parts.
• Observes CNC Machines to detect excessive wear or malfunction.
• Proactively identifies opportunities for improving production processes and reducing non-conforming product.
• Analyzes and evaluates production issues to quickly and effectively create and implement adequate solutions.
• Notifies the Production supervisor of material shortages.
• Labels all scrap and re-work as soon as identified and separates these from the production parts.
• Maintains organization and cleanliness in the machine shop.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years Machining experience in a production environment
• Proficient reading and understanding blue prints, models and specifications
• Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards and GD&T
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and experience working with/on machines and equipment
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Advanced math skills
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
