Shifts: D/N/W/Holiday rotation - 3x12s + 2 On Call shifts per 4 weeks

Key Responsibilities of the RN - ED Emergency Department

• Apply nursing theory, technical, and communication skills to deliver care.
• Assess patient needs and prioritize urgent or emergent care.
• Provide direct care and apply appropriate interventions.
• Evidences skill in using various procedures and interventions.
• Assess and address the psychosocial needs of patients and families.
• Conduct primary and secondary assessments and document findings.
• Encourage teamwork and mutual respect among peers.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and educate on post-care.

Requirements of the RN - ED Emergency Department

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification (Must be AHA or RQI)
• Two years of acute hospital experience as an RN
• One year of ED hospital experience as an RN
• NIHSS, NYS RN Licensure
