TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Psychiatric for a travel nursing job in Louisville, Kentucky.

UNIT: PSYCH RN
SIMPLIFI CLINICAL Interview

Experience Required: 6 months. Comfortable with putting a kid in a physical hold and making the decision to put in seclusion. IM meds administration, handling asthma patients (medically cleared)

Will you accept a first-time traveler? No, must have travel experience

Certs Required: BLS. CPI obtained on site.

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Adolescent- typically ages 10-13. Aggressive, Impulsive, Self harm, Sexual acting out.

Technology/Equipment: EMR: Cerner, Med dispensing: Omnicell

Unit specific equipment: Restraint bed, restraint chair.

Patient Ratios: Typically, 2 RNs per unit, 2-3 MHTs

Floating: Yes, could float to children to adults, anywhere through facility. 
Any age could be present on unit, depending on how patients are needed to be separated for that shift. Candidates should be comfortable floating throughout the unit and open to schedule/shift flexibility, understanding they may not remain on the same unit or shift consistently.
