It's the spirit of our people – the passion, commitment, and a great team environment – that makes our company a great place to work.Visa Sponsorship: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.Who we want...Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) from an accredited college or university.Professional Engineering License is required.5 to 7 years of experience in mechanical design within industrial or commercial projects.Advanced proficiency in Bluebeam and 3D building modeling software (e.g., Revit) and experience with BIM workflows.Demonstrated experience of building codes and standards (IBC, ASHRAE, NFPA), and client-specific design requirements.Ability to perform load calculations and cost analysis using appropriate software.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills for system analysis, cost modeling, and performance optimization.Demonstrated leadership in mentoring junior engineers and managing design teams.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Energetic, self-motivated, and committed to professional development.Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.QualificationsWhat we expect...Lead mechanical design efforts for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements and building codes.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated design solutions.Perform advanced heating/cooling load calculations and energy code compliance assessments.Collaborate with the owner and project team to ensure systems are cost-effective and explore value engineering options.Use BIM and AutoCAD to incorporate designs into project models and drawings.Select and specify mechanical equipment; design air distribution and piping systems.Develop control drawings and system diagrams.Update and maintain engineering design standards.Perform and document design calculations to ensure compliance with applicable codes and client specifications.Conduct quality control reviews of design documents, including drawings, specifications, and calculations.Collaborate with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to meet project schedules and deliver complete, coordinated design packages.Review and respond to contractor RFIs, shop drawings, and product submittals, ensuring design intent is maintained.Participate in client meetings and design reviews, providing technical input and supporting project delivery.Support the development and refinement of internal design standards and best practices.Assist in mentoring junior engineers and designers, contributing to team growth and knowledge sharing.Other duties as assigned.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
