The successful candidate will perform the WCCA and work alongside the Ford Electrical & Electronic HW Technical Specialists and with the design team to create innovative new electrical and electronics systems and products, and drive engineering excellence. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location will be required to be onsite four or more days per week. #LI-Hybrid#LI-CH2What you'll be able to do:Design products utilizing engineering principles. Apply best practices, lessons learned and innovative design techniques to achieve a reliable product at a competitive cost.Design circuits schematic and PCB layout implementation using industry standard tools.Strive to simplify the design, make it easy to manufacture, mistake proof, attempt to anticipate areas of large variation and attempt to maximize design robustness.Perform tolerance stack up/worst case circuit analyses (Extreme Value, RMS or Monte Carlo as required). Capture and codify WCCA lessons learned.Perform power integrity (PDN, IRdrop) and signal integrity analysis as required.Generate professional reports and make changes as necessary based on findings.Confer with other engineering team and cross functional team members on a frequent basis to ensure all aspects of the design are coming together seamlessly.Participate in technical design reviews to ensure compliance to design requirements.Generate, check and approve necessary engineering documentation required for material procurement and quality assurance of products designed (drawings - assembly and component, schematics, Bill(s) of Materials, specifications etc.).Participate in the building and construction of assemblies in early prototype stages.Define stress test routines required to validate functional sections.Document failure modes and feedback to improve design requirements.
