Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Overview Mechanical Maintenance Technician position at our manufacturing facility in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania. The role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing a broad range of mechanical equipment and components to ensure continuous production and achievement of production goals. You may also perform maintenance on cranes, forklifts and other mobile equipment. Applicants should quickly learn ATI's manufacturing equipment and maintenance program; strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and safety focus are essential. Responsibilities Follow all safety practices and rules to ensure equipment is operated safely. Perform preventative, predictive and emergency maintenance on a variety of electrical and electronic systems. Perform other maintenance work such as installing piping, welding, rigging, carpentry, and repairs to floors, ceilings, windows/glass, doors, etc. Implement process improvements to increase effectiveness and efficiency. Use standard and specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to assess and troubleshoot issues. Maintain accurate records of projects including machine assembly, startup and installation. Participate in daily meetings and review the daily schedule of work. Operate equipment such as trucks, man lifts, and cranes as required. Provide assistance in operating in other functions/areas as needed. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or GED; at least two years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing, farming, military or other industrial environment. OR an Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Engineering Technology or other mechanical program. Skills Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capability. Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
