Basic Job Functions

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade all types of production equipment, including motors, drives, cranes, controls, and instruments.
• Work on process improvement projects.
• Provide electrical support to operations.
• Work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.
• Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Fundamental understanding of electrical theory.
• Experience troubleshooting low voltage (≤600VAC) motors and controllers.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs, instrumentation, process control devices, and VFDs.
• 3+ years’ experience in industrial or military electrical maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-year or 4-year degree in electrical or related field.
• Experience maintaining overhead cranes.
• Exposure to electrical substation equipment and maintenance practices.
• Prior steel industry experience in electrical maintenance.
• Good mechanical knowledge.
