Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.Required Skills/Certs/Exp:Minimum Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience on the cardiac floor required.Traveler Experience: Required UNLESS traveler has more than 24 months of cardiac experience.Skills: Cardiac Telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Sheath Removal, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Titrate Cardiac drips, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleuravac, External CPAP/BIPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway managementCerts: BLS & ACLS, NIHSSPreferred Skills/Certs/Exp: Arterial line management, Wound Care/Wound Vac, and Charge ExperienceJob Details:Ratios: Varies per Acuity. Ratios are 1:4 for surgical step down, and 1:5-6 for lower acuityShift: 1845-0715 36 HOURS ONLY 13-26 weeks acceptedFloat Requirement: Will follow unit rotation - not first to floatWeekend Requirement: 4 per 4 weeks (flexible)Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.Patient Diagnoses: Atrial Fibrillation, CHF, ACS, CAD, Aortic stenosis/regurgitation, Mitral Regurgitation/Stenosis, Endocarditis, Cardiomyopathy, PVD PAD, Vasculitis, Carotid stenosis, Venous stasis, sheath management, sheath removal.Special Procedures/Unit Details: CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR, Mitral Clip, LAAO (Watchman procedure), VATS, Carotid endarterectomy, FEM-POP bypass, Amputations, Other vascular surgeries, Cardiac surgeries, Thoracic surgeries, General thoracic surgery, Post cath, Post DCCV, Post electrophysiology procedures, Pacemaker placements.Special Equipment: Arterial lines (not required), Doppler, Bladder scanner, EKG, Femoral sheaths, TR band, Fem-stop, Chest tubes, Epicardial Pacing Wires.Unit Systems (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, EPIC, SBARUnit Orientation: 24 hoursScrubs: NavyInterview Availability: Please provide your candidate's interview availability for the next 72 hours while submitting.
