Job Description

We’re looking for a dependable and experienced Make-Ready/Maintenance Technician to join our team at an apartment community in the North Austin, TX area .

If you’re a hands-on professional who takes pride in your work, enjoys solving maintenance issues, and knows how to get apartments ready for new residents, we’d love to hear from you!

Make-Ready / Maintenance Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Complete apartment make-readies and turnovers to ensure units are clean, functional, and move-in ready.
Respond to and complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
Perform general apartment and property maintenance.
Complete basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and appliances .
Perform HVAC-related maintenance and troubleshooting.
Complete preventative maintenance throughout the property.
Maintain the property's curb appeal and overall appearance .
Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate solutions.
Work independently while maintaining communication with supervisors and team members.
Provide professional and friendly customer service to residents, coworkers, and contractors.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications

At least 6 months of experience in apartment maintenance, make-ready, hotel maintenance, construction, or a related field.
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, HVAC, and appliance repair .
EPA/HVAC Certification is required.
Experience using maintenance tools and equipment.
Must have access to basic hand tools and a power drill .
Having your own complete set of tools is a PLUS!
Ability to handle a physically demanding workload.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
