Position Overview

IMT Residential is hiring a Staff Accountant for our Internal Control corporate accounting team at our headquarters in Sherman Oaks, CA. This position is fully onsite, reporting to the corporate office in Sherman Oaks Monday through Friday.

• Pay - $28.00-$35.00/hr. depending upon skills and experience related to the role

Position Details

The Staff Accountant will be an integral part of our corporate accounting team contributing to the continued success of IMT. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the staff accountant will be responsible for a wide variety of accounting duties, including:

• Recording journal entries and analyzing general ledger accounts
• Performing monthly bank reconciliations
• Supporting accurate and timely preparation of financial statements
• Maintaining integrity of accounting data through documentation
• Maintaining and reporting escheated funds
• Monitoring and supporting property taxation
• Supporting multiple annual audits
• Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets
• Preparing ad-hoc financial reports or analyses

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Strong understanding of accounting principles including GAAP
• Solid analytical skills including efficient problem solving and the ability to understand big picture concepts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability and desire to work in a team environment
• Advanced Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables
