Custodian Position at Hamilton High SchoolWe are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Custodian at Hamilton High School. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This full-time position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Responsibilities:Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, dusting surfaces, and cleaning restrooms.Ensure all classrooms, hallways, and common areas are kept clean and organized.Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with school policies.Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are low.Assist with minor repairs and maintenance of school facilities as needed.Set up and take down furniture and equipment for school events and activities.Ensure safety and compliance with health regulations in all cleaning practices.Respond to emergency cleaning requests in a timely manner.Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a positive school environment.Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus.Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, as well as safety procedures.Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools effectively.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.Ability to pass a fingerprint-based background check per school board policy.
