Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) Technologist position in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This role involves assisting the surgical team with sterile setup, passing instruments, and ensuring patient safety during open heart procedures. The position requires maintaining aseptic technique and supporting the surgical operation from preparation through cleanup.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift with hours totaling 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist or OR technician. Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TSC). Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal surgical technician program preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with open heart surgical procedures. Familiarity with sterile setup and surgical instrumentation specific to cardiac surgeries.
• Additional Information: Assistance in preparing sterile supplies and equipment for open heart surgeries. Support in patient positioning, aseptic technique, and handling surgical specimens. Ensures all medications are properly labeled and handed to the surgeon (limited access to medications). Responsible for cleaning and restocking the operating room post-procedure.
