Maintenance Electrician

Maintenance ElectricianNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installation of electrical equipment including automation systems used in sheet metal processing and fabrications operations. This role supports continuous production by ensuring plant electrical equipment, distribution, and control circuits operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesElectrical & Controls MaintenanceTroubleshoot and repair industrial electrical and limited mechanical systems, including:Diagnoses and resolve electrical and controls related issues.Perform electrical work in accordance with OSHA and plant safety standards.Automation & PLC SupportAssist with startup, commissioning, and testing of new or upgraded equipment.Interpret electrical schematics and control system documentation.Preventive & Predictive MaintenanceExecute preventive maintenance tasks on electrical equipment.Identify repeat failures and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability.Assist with root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment and process failures.Continuous Improvement & ProjectsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve safety and productivity.Support electrical projects, including upgrades and retrofits.Documentation & ComplianceMaintain accurate maintenance records and updates in the CMMS.Ensure compliance with all plant safety, environmental, and quality policies.Support lockout/tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety procedures.Required QualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification electrical technology preferred.3–7 years of industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing facilityTechnical SkillsStrong knowledge of industrial electrical systems.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.Safety & ComplianceWorking knowledge of OSHA regulations and electrical safety standards.Preferred QualificationsExperience in sheet metal fabrication processesPLC programming experienceExperience with robotic systemsPhysical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to work rotating shifts and weekendsAbility to work at heights, in confined spaces.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periodsKey CompetenciesStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEffective communication with operations, engineering, and maintenance teamsHigh attention to safety and detailNesco provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
