mid-level to Senior Plumbing/ Fire Protection Engineer

Job Details:

My client is a top notch MEP Consulting Engineer firm that we have been dealing with for 20 years. They are actively seeking both mid-level and Senior level Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineers. Duties include:

• Have knowledge of work in mission-critical, healthcare, corporate interiors, retail, and industrial facility designs a plus.

• Perform and be responsible for all aspects of design on projects.

• Mentor and delegate work to other engineers and designers and oversee their production and design.

• Ensure adherence to company design standards.

• Develop high-level concept engineering design on projects.

• Develop engineering designs in both AutoCAD and REVIT. 

• Develop and write specifications in Masterspec and drawing format.

• Perform detailed field surveys and site visits to project sites.

• Advise the department director for resource management.

• Advise project managers on technical aspects of projects.

• Coordinate and advise the internal team, clients, and sub-consultants, which will include attendance at project meetings, site visits during Construction, etc.

• Perform systems studies and building evaluations.

• Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Compliance (QA/QC) review of the design of others to maintain a high level of deliverable quality.

• Perform construction administration support, including site visits, attendance at meetings, etc.

• Investigate and resolve technical problems and concerns on projects.

• Participate in steering committees for technical topics.

• Investigate and resolve technical problems and concerns on projects; support other engineering staff with the same.
