Work Environment This role is designed for a therapist seeking a flexible work environment. The successful candidate will work a Monday to Friday schedule with no evenings or weekends, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. Our remote work setup is supplemented by an outpatient office, where in-person sessions may be required for some clients, promoting a hybrid model of care. Key Responsibilities Group Therapy: Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions aimed at fostering connection and shared learning among clients. Help clients navigate their experiences while promoting peer support. Individual Therapy: Provide one-on-one counseling using personalized approaches that delve into clients’ thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Develop and implement tailored action plans to guide clients toward their goals. Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to develop individualized, realistic treatment plans. Understand each client’s unique circumstances and preferences to deliver the most effective care. Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and evaluate client progress using various assessment tools and feedback mechanisms to ensure treatment effectiveness and to make necessary adjustments. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including social workers and psychiatrists, to coordinate comprehensive care and consult on complex cases. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will primarily support young adults facing a range of mental health issues, including mood disorders and anxiety. Your empathetic approach will help to create a safe space where clients feel valued and understood, fostering an environment conducive to healing and recovery. By focusing on youth, you will be contributing to building resilience in a critical developmental stage. Qualifications Education: A Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy is required. Licensing: Must hold an active LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license in the state of Texas. Experience: Previous experience working in mental health settings, particularly with clients experiencing mood disorders, is essential. Clinical Skills: Strong proficiency in therapeutic modalities, including motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). Team Player: Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and a passion for contributing to positive change. Preferred Experience Preference will be given to candidates who possess extensive experience in both individual and group therapy settings and who have a proven track record of developing effective treatment plans and strategies that yield positive client outcomes.
