Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive mental health counseling to clients through one-on-one sessions, employing evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities tailored to individual needs.
- Assist clients in daily living activities by teaching organizational skills regarding meal planning, cooking, and personal care, ensuring holistic well-being.
- Manage medication adherence by providing reminders, checking the correct storage of medications, and conducting regular follow-ups with clients as per established protocols.
- Facilitate transportation needs, whether using agency vehicles or guiding clients on public transportation, to ensure they attend all necessary medical appointments.
- Monitor and report client's mood and general demeanor, adjusting care plans as necessary to promote mental and emotional wellness.
- Adhere to all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, ensuring that services meet or exceed required certifications and licensing protocols.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation relating to client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes to support continuity of care and compliance.
- Engage in team meetings and case discussions, actively sharing insights and strategies that support positive client outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will work with a diverse group of individuals who seek support for various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our clientele comes from different cultural backgrounds, thus requiring sensitivity and adaptability to fit their unique circumstances and expectations.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in fields such as clinical psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or counseling.
- Valid licensure as a mental health professional (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) in California; applicants with an associate license are not eligible due to Medicare billing requirements.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, and adapting to electronic health record systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on client-centered care.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with geriatric populations is a plus but not mandatory.
- Background in community health settings or similar environments.
- Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches and a strong desire to engage in continuous professional development.
Compensation and Benefits
